ProDrain disc optimizes drainage

The ProDrain disc is an optional attachment to the closing wheels of the Tempo planter and Proceed precision seed drill. It is mounted outside the closing wheels, to work the soil on the sides of the seed row.

"When planting in certain conditions, there is a risk that the surface becomes too smooth, increasing the risk of erosion or capping if heavy rain follows. ProDrain is an additional disc mounted outside the ordinary closing wheels, designed to penetrate the field surface on the side of the seed row. This ensures a weather-resistant surface", says Lars Thylén, Commercial Manager Planters, at Väderstad.

ProDrain enhances performance by disturbing the soil surface between the rows, allowing rainwater to drain more efficiently.

"The attachment helps protect the crops by reducing excess water buildup, ensuring optimal growing conditions even after heavy rainfall", Lars Thylén adds.

The new ProDrain disc is available for all Väderstad Tempo and Proceed models. ProDrain is available in two different sizes to fit the choice of the closing wheel.
